3D CAD is mainly used for detailed engineering of 3D models and/or 2D drawings of physical components, but it is also used throughout the engineering process from conceptual design and layout of products, through strength and dynamic analysis of assemblies to definition of manufacturing methods of components. It can also be used to design objects. Furthermore many CAD applications now offer advanced rendering and animation capabilities so engineers can better visualize their product designs

All Thermfire System designs are digitized to take advantage of rapid customization of equipment clusters that support a thermal reclamation system within your plant layout.  Not only will you be able to impose the selected Thermfire unit into your plant layout digitally, your will also be able to discover physical restrictions in your pouring processes in full raster animation.  Feeds like power, fuel and Internet, and support equipment like shakers, conveyors and pathways to storage silos will all benefit from 3D CAD digitization before a single bolt is turned.

Advanced Manufacturing

GTI employs advanced fabrication processes to build each Thermfire System.

Safety guards while removable, are placed in high-risk areas to prevent long-term exposure to heat or accidental stumbles around high-temperature operating fixtures.

Burner Efficiency

Burning at lower temperatures saves fuel but because of our burner tube placement, we can operate at lower temperatures and still burn all fuel offered. New EPA regulations require all natural gas burners to perform at near complete combustion efficiency.

Most thermal  systems operate at 1,400 degrees F or higher.  Thermfire optimizes 1,250 degress F. partly because of the burner tube placement near the bottom of the calcining bed that allows sand to heat to red hot temperatures.  This location is far superior to igniting only the upper portion or surface of the bed as do most conventional thermal units.

All of this design strategy is realized in lower fuel consumption = lower operating costs.

NOx Low Emissions

GTI saw this coming and altered the burner array to maximize burn in the calcining chamber to all but eliminate stack toxins.  The E.P.A. recognizes Thermfire for industry-leading low NOx emissions.  Burn efficiency is responsible for this certification and assures your foundry will not be sidelined because of stack sniffers.

Control Package/Online

Thermfire Systems while technically complex are easy to operate using a computer monitor driving our own control/software package.  Self monitoring and self diagnostic technologies make operating procedures simple and absolute.  True readings, combined with self-diagnostics assist the operator to make fundamental,  accurate adjustments to cleanse every sand reclamation cycle without interruption or hesitation in output.  Cold start to operating temp happens in 25 minutes.  This is a truly high performance system that will increase profitability and lower material costs while satisfying all EPA regulations at the stack.

The Controller communicates with your operator, but, as an added backup, it also communicates with GTI allowing our Service Department to “dial in” diagnostics to help solve issues before they become breakdowns
